A BAD MAINTAINED BAR EXHIBITION TO CRITIQUE THE
ART EXHIBITIONS IN BOGOTÁ, COlOMBIA
Nicolas asked us to create a catalogue for his exposition taking into account the concept behind it.
Días Feriados was a space to hang with friends, it represented a bad maintained bar with different pieces that visitor interacted with. The concept behind it was to go against the art fairs and expositions that where happening in Bogota during the same weekend. Most of these expositions are high class focused, wine and catering services are offered and it is a fancy event in general. Nicolás’ proposal for Días Feriados was a space that exposed a non-traditional art exhibit were there was no wine but the most popular alcoholic drink among other social classes: aguardiente and low cost beer known as Poker. Other pieces in the exhibit featured the classic line dividers you find on this type of events but they were made out of sausages and meat.
Our proposal for the catalogue was a card deck as catalogue that related to the exhibit’s concept of a place to hang with friends. We illustrated each of the exposition pieces and printed them as part of the deck.
